Black Student Opportunity Scholarship Is Open For Applicants

The Black Student Opportunity Scholarship is accepting applications through May 1.

The scholarship—a $1,000 prize—is available to African American students who are enrolled or accepted into Miami Dade College and have demonstrated financial need based on their Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA). 

Eligible applicants must have recently graduated from the following high schools with a weighted GPA of at least 2.0:

  • Booker T. Washington Senior High School
  • CG Bethel High School
  • Miami Carol City High School
  • Miami Central High School
  • Miami Edison Senior High School
  • Miami Northwestern Senior High School
  • Miami Norland Senior High School
  • North Gardens High School
  • North Miami Beach Senior High School
  • North Miami Senior High School
  • William H. Turner Tech Arts High School
