Dance Competition To Raise Money For United Way

The Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 street, will be hosting a  dance workshop and competition  to raise money for the United Way as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Dancing with the Sharks, a non-profit event on Oct. 17, will be from 12 to 1 p.m., at the Koffeehouse.

During the event, Bienela Herrera, an academic advisor and dual enrollment coordinator at Miami Dade College, will be teaching students the basics of merengue and bachata.

Then, on Oct. 18 students will be able show off what they learned and compete at Latin Explosion, a dance competition that will raise funds for United Way.
