Floor Renovation Project At Theodore R. Gibson Health Center Completed

Kendall Campus finished a $650,000 floor replacement project at the Theodore R. Gibson Health Center in early August.

The facility, which hosts the college’s volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams, was last revamped in 1994. Renovations began last April.

Upgrades include new maple-hardwood flooring with better padding to prevent injuries, a dark blue border that matches the bleachers and a shark logo at center court.

“I’m so excited,” said Alysia Dyer, the athletic director at Miami Dade College. “It’s a big change and it makes us look more collegiate.”
