Homestead Campus To Host Purple Heart Day Charity Event

The Student Life Department at Homestead Campus is organizing a donation drive to celebrate Purple Heart Day, a national holiday that honors veterans and fallen soldiers for their service on Aug. 7.

Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes, electronics, household items, small furniture, toys, books, phones, baby items and more.

Students must contact the nonprofit organization Vietnam Veterans of America to schedule a pick-up for their donations. They must tell the company how many items they are donating, what the items are, and where they will be left for pick up.

To schedule a pick-up, visit this link or call (888) 518-VETS.
