IAC Phi Theta Kappa Holds Voter Registration Project

Phi Theta Kappa at InterAmerican Campus is partnering up with the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy (iCED) to carry out the Campus Vote Project, based on politics, government and the upcoming elections.

Its purpose is to teach students the importance of voting. PTK has decided to organize events with the iCED department that will allow students to become knowledgeable about the upcoming elections.

“The idea is to educate and engage people in the political process,” said IAC PTK advisor, Diego Tibaquira. “The objective is to bring the community and campus together.”

Students are encouraged to sign up and volunteer at the events to receive service learning hours. The project will also help students register for the elections and understand the voting ballot.
