ICED Launches New Work-Study Program

Miami Dade College students can now apply to become Civic Leadership Fellows through the Institute for Civic Engagement & Democracy. 

The program allows students to work as part-time employees for local non-profits partnered with iCED to promote causes like education, public health and sustainability. 

Some of the organizations include Feeding South Florida, Youth Co-Op Inc, Florida Immigrant Coalition and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami

Applicants must be enrolled in at least six credits, have a minimum 2.0 GPA and qualify for financial aid and the deferral work-study program. 

Participants, who must commit to working 10 to 25 hours per week for at least two semesters, will be paid $14 an hour.
