The Idea Center at Wolfson Campus, 315 N.E. Second Ave., building 8, 5th Floor, will host the Google Seminar Series on Gender & Racial Gaps In Film & Tech as part of the 33rd Annual Miami International Film Festival.
From March 5 through 9, the program will showcase 21 feature films at four different locations that have been directed by a woman. The films showcase this year’s most successful films in that category. Cinematographer Kirsten Johnson, a film festival veteran, will discuss and screen her feature memoir, Cameraperson, set at the world premiere in the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Other films showcased include Francesca Archibugi’s An Italian Name (Il nome del figlio), Liz Garbus’ Nothing Left Unsaid: Gloria Vanderbilt & Anderson Cooper, and Dawn Porter’s Trapped.
