Miami Dade College will host a Picnic de Libros event at the Koubek Center, 2705 S.W. 3rd St., on Oct. 15 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The event aims to develop children’s interest in literature by exposing them to Miami’s rich cultural diversity. It will feature bilingual storytelling, theater and music performances, arts and crafts and free books in English and Spanish that will be given in picnic baskets.
