In regards to “Thinking Of Kicking The Habit: Possible College-wide Smoking Ban” on Vol. 1, Issue 6 Jan. 17, 2011:

Hi, my name is Michelle and I was wondering, will the college executive committee be considering those students who are disabled and need to smoke to calm their stress and depression?

I am a disabled student and I suffer from stress and depression, the only way to release my stress would be to smoke in a designated smoking area between classes.

If the ban were to happen, I would have to drop out, there is no other way for me to go.

I weigh 250 pounds and I can’t stand for long periods of time. There would be no where for me to sit. I feel that if they want to partially ban it, I would happily smoke in designated areas.
