Literary Critic To Discuss Jose Marti’s Life

José Raúl Vidal y Franco, an essayist and critic, will discuss the life and work of Cuban poet and journalist José Martí at Imago Art in Action, 165 Majorca Ave., on Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. 

He will analyze Martí’s perspective on life and death, and how they connect with his literary work. 

Vidal y Franco, who was born in Cuba, has written several books centered around Martí’s life such as José Martí: to the light of the bush in 2014 and José Martí: notes of images in 2015. 

The event will be hosted by the Miami Book Fair in collaboration with Imago Art in Action.
