Miami Dade College Ranks Among Country’s Most Military-Friendly Schools

Miami Dade College was chosen as a “2014 Military-Friendly School” by Victory Media, Inc.,  a military focused media company, ranking in the top 15 % out of 12,000 schools nationwide.

With nearly 1,400 military personnel enrolled at MDC this semester alone, MDC was recognized because of its dedication to assist and accommodate the many veterans or active soldiers who attend one of the eight campuses.

Miami Dade College offers Veterans priority registration,  and establish a partnership with the Miami Vet Center, among other things.

“Veterans are not usually thanked for all their hard work so I know they would be proud,” said Kendall-based ROTC Sergeant Jonathan Sastre, who just recently returned from deployment.

It is the College’s first year on the list.
