Miami Dade College’s Tower Theatre Presents The Film Brooklyn

Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater, 1508 S.W. 8 St., is screening the film Brooklyn by John Crowley in English with Spanish subtitles from Nov. 25 through Dec. 1.

This PG-13 drama and romance film is based on a young Irish woman, Eilis Lacey, caught between tradition and passion. In the film, she departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City and must choose between two countries and cultures.

Actress Saoirse Ronan plays the role of the protagonist. The film also includes actors Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.towertheatermiami.com. Admission is $7 for college students, $9 for professors/staff, $11.50 for general admission.
