Miami Film Festival And GEMS Accepting Submissions

Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival is accepting submissions for its 36th annual season and its GEMS Festival until Sept. 28.

Submissions must have a world premiere no earlier than Jan. 1 2018. Competition categories include the $10,000 Documentary Achievement Award, the $10,000 Made in MIA Award, the HBO Ibero-American Feature Film Award and IMDbPro Short Film Award. Non-competition categories are Cinema 360°, REEL Music Scene and MIFFecito.

The GEMS Festival is from Oct. 11 to 14 at MDC’s Tower Theater and the MFF takes place on March 2019 across different venues in Miami.
