For the second year in a row, the Miami International Film Festival will host a mid-season festival in October. The four-day festival called MIFFecito last year will return this year as GEMS from Oct. 22 through Oct. 25 at Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater 1508 SW 8 St.
GEMS is a specially curated program of new movies. Like last year, it will include in-person appearances by international filmmakers, actors, some anticipated Oscar contenders, and the Festival’s celebrated mix of parties, master classes and additional social events.
