The Wolfson Jazz Ensembles will perform at the next Jazz At Wolfson Presents event on March 14 at 5:40 p.m.
Three bands—the Horace Silver, the Blue Note Group and the Hard Bob Jazz Ensemble—who makeup the ensembles will showcase their talent at the Wolfson Campus Auditorium, 300 N.E Second Ave. in Room 1261.
Having performed in Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands, the Hard Bob Jazz Ensemble has received awards in composition and performance from the DownBeat Magazine.
The Horace Silver group pays homage to the famed 1950s musician whom the band is named after. The Blue Note group aims to honor the renowned jazz record label Blue Note Records.
Jazz at Wolfson Presents is a year-long series by MDC featuring various jazz performances.
All performances are free and open to the public. The events are also broadcast on Miami Dade College’s Livestream website.
