Nighttime Jazz Band Celebrates The Holidays At Kendall Campus

In the holiday spirit, the Kendall Campus’ Nighttime Jazz Band will perform on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The event will take place on campus at the Alfred L. McCarthy Hall, located at 11011 S.W. 104th St.

“It’s important because it affords student performers the opportunity to showcase the hard work they have put into the music,” said Kendall Campus Chairman of Music, Theater and Dance Development, James M. Broderick. “It’s also important for students who attend the concert to learn to appreciate music they may never have heard.”

The Nighttime Jazz Band performs instrumental and vocal jazz music representing all types of jazz, including original compositions. The musicians are community members and students directed by Broderick. The group has performed at least one concert every semester since 2008.

The event is free and open to the public and parking is available on campus.

For more information, contact James M. Broderick at (305) 237-2422 or jbroderi@mdc.edu or visit his office at Kendall Campus in Room 8222.
