North Campus Entrepreneur Juggles Classes And Business

Erick Rivera, a 19-year-old business major at North Campus, paved his way to entrepreneurship with business partner and friend Sebastian Salas three years ago. WunderThought, their own printing and embroidery company, arose in a whirlwind of conversations between the young entrepreneurs.

They began in March of 2013 by helping other companies promote their businesses through websites, logos and employee uniforms. They also designed their class shirts at Miami Lakes Educational Center.

Rivera believes his company is not just a T-Shirt company, but an opportunity to give back to the community, express a message or symbol and a chance to inspire others. Currently, the college entrepreneurs run their company in a warehouse providing other young ambitious students with employment as well as first-hand entrepreneurship education.

“The best advice I can say is not to doubt yourself, remember why you started, and connect yourself with like-minded ambitious people,” Rivera said.
