North Campus To Host Latin American Ex-Presidents

North Campus, located at 11380 N.W. 27th Ave., will host the Latin American Presidential Mission in Room 2147 on Sept. 22 at 9:50  a.m. as part of a two day international symposium.

At this event five former presidents from Latin America will speakLuis Alberto Lacalle de Herrera of Uruguay, Marco Vinicio Cerezo Arevalo of Guatemala, Carlos Diego Mesa Gisbert of Bolivia, Armando Calderon of El Salvador and Alvaro Colom of Guatemala.

The discussion will focus on the new challenges and obstacles facing the relationships between Cuba, the United States and the Americas. Attendees will be able to talk to the ex-presidents and ask questions.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Global Peace Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing peace and unity among universal communities. For more information, call the North Campus Social Sciences Department at (305) 237-1164.
