New World School of the Arts alumna Melissa Toogood will stage a preview of the Merce Cunningham Open Rehearsal MinEvent on Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m. at the New World Dance Theater, 25 N.E. 2nd St., Room 5808A/5808B.
The event will showcase the techniques and works of Merce Cunningham, an accomplished American dancer and choreographer.
There will be a Q&A session after the rehearsal with Toogood and the NWSA dancers. Toogood is a former student and understudy at the Merce Cunningham Company.
The event is free and open to the public.
