Padrón Campus Hosting Transfer Application Workshop Series

The Eduardo J. Padrón Campus and Hermione’s Army are hosting their fifth annual Transfer Application Workshop Series to discuss personal statements and supplements on Jan. 26 at 3:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The workshops, which started in January, teach students how to apply and transfer to another university. The next presentation will take place on Feb. 2 at 3:30 p.m. It will cover financial aid and scholarships.

Other topics in the series included college essays, sending transcripts, getting letters of recommendation, and the Common Application.

“I’ve been mentoring students and helping them through their transfer process and to be successful as they get into really prestigious universities,” said Emily Sendin, founding adviser of Hermione’s Army. “I’m trying to use what I know and what I have learned throughout the years so I can help students.”

The event is free and open to the public. Students must RSVP to receive a link to the event.

For more information, contact Sendin at (305) 237-6172 or esendin@mdc.edu.
