Panel Discussion For Where The Oceans Meet Exhibition

The Museum of Art and Design will host a panel discussion centered around the Where the Oceans Meet exhibition on Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd.

The event will explore the history and underlying significance behind the exhibition, a showing of modern and traditional paintings that explain how border lines can affect the culture of a country. It is currently on display at the museum until January of 2020. 

Panelists include: Alfredo Perez-Triff, a philosophy professor at Miami Dade College; Guillermina De Ferrari, a Spanish American and Caribbean Literatures and Cultures professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Erica Moiah James, an assistant professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Miami. Rina Carvajal, executive director of MOAD, will moderate the conversation.
