Miami Dade College is hosting the official USA Pre-Launch Event for the World’s Fair, Expo Milan 2015— “America and the Old World: Food, Health and Culture”—on March 12 at 8:30 a.m.
The day-long event will take place in the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd., and at MDC’s Wolfson Campus,300 NE Second Ave., starting with a panel discussion on the connections between the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, their identities, and the importance of food and health.
The event will conclude with an optional movie and dinner package at Macchialina Taverna Rustica on South Beach. Cost of admission is $35 or a one-time payment of $200 dollars covers admission to the event plus a luncheon.
The World’s Fair, Expo Milan 2015 will be held in Milan, Italy from May 10 to Oct. 31.
