The City of Miami Beach is offering scholarships to its residents or graduates of Miami Beach High School.
The City of Miami Beach Tourism & Travel Scholarship Program is available to students with a specific interest in the food and hospitality industry.
Other qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a 2.5 minimum grade point average, and two letters of recommendation.
Applicants will be assessed circumstantially as well, with criteria such as economic need, ethnicity and work experience factoring into their evaluation.
Applicants must submit the complete, typed application before May 8.
