On June 22, Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic presented Miami Dade College with a $40,000 check that will provide scholarships for students at the Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex.
Students enrolled in MDC’s MAGIC program with at least 3.0 GPA are encouraged to apply. Financial need and academic performance are taken into consideration.
Applicants are required to submit a letter of recommendation as well as a 500-word essay describing a game concept that he/she would develop if they were to receive the scholarship. The scholarship application can be found at magic.mdc.edu/scholarships-and-internships/. Deadline to apply is May 31, 2018. Each student selected will receive $7,600 to cover MAGIC tuition.
