Statue Unveiling At North Campus

As part of International Human Rights Day and the 63rd Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Miami Dade College North Campus, 11380 N.W. 27 Ave., is set to unveil the art piece Niños by renowned Spanish sculptor dEmo on Dec. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

According to Michelle Manjarrez, the director of North Campus’ Pre-School Laboratory, the sculpture features 10 children from different ethnic backgrounds.

“There will be ten children from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds unveiling the sculptures,” Manjarrez said.

The sculpture will be featured at the North Campus Pre-School Laboratory. It will pay tribute to the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence: “The right to freedom from discrimination.”
