Teatro Prometeo will present Gentefrikation/HENTE-FREAK-A-SHUN/ at the Koubek Center, 2705 S.W. 3rd St, from Dec. 14 to Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. along with an additional 5 p.m. performance on Dec. 16.
The play follows a group of tenants in Miami who are forced to wait out an eviction. It stars Edgar Garcia Rivera, artistic director of Teatro Prometeo. This play was created in large part by Emilio Rodriguez, a playwright notable for plays focusing on minorities, who collaborated with the Prometeo team for the show.
The show is bilingual. There will be English subtitles for audience members who do not understand Spanish.
Tickets are available via brownpapertickets.com General admission is $30. MDC students and employees pay $10.
