Nicole Del Rio, an English major in The Honors College at North Campus, has been appointed as The Reporter’s arts and entertainment editor.
The 19-year-old rising sophomore joined the newspaper last September. She has written in the news, briefing and A&E sections of the paper. Her articles have been about staff promotions, book signing events and student awards.
“I feel very honored about this position,” Del Rio said. “Writing for The Reporter has been amazing.”
Del Rio, who graduated from Barbara Goleman Senior High School in 2022, is currently a part-time tutor in the Writing Center at North Campus. She aspires to be an author and literature professor.
