Three Lady Sharks Earn All-Southern Conference First-Team Honors

Guards Ahmari Young and Anija Payne and forward Angelina Hammond were named to the  All-Southern Conference First-Team.

Young led the Lady Sharks in scoring this season with a 12.8 scoring average. Payne led the team in rebounding with 10.6 per game and she added 8.4 points per contest. Hammond averaged 7.8 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Three other Lady Sharks earned All-Southern Conference Second-Team honors. They were point guard Rio Yamazaki, who averaged 6.3 points and a team-leading 2.9 assists per game, forward Donella Gardener, who averaged 6.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest, and combo guard Niaisya Ervin, who averaged 7.2 points per game.    

The Lady Sharks finished the season with a 6-23 record.
