Miami Dade College Medical Campus is offering the Alexa Sophia Kaufman Scholarship to female Hialeah Campus students planning to transfer to Medical Campus.
First preference of the scholarship will be given to a female student enrolled in Hialeah Campus planning to study in the veterinary technology program at Medical Campus.
Second preference will be given to a female student enrolled in Hialeah Campus planning to study in any accredited medical program at Medical Campus.
Selected students will be awarded $500 for each of the first two semesters of study upon transferring from Hialeah Campus to Medical Campus.
Recipients have to write an essay in which they express the reasons why they have chosen a career in health services, and include a copy of their academic transcript and a letter of recommendation from an MDC professor.
