Urbana Magazine To Host Virtual Exhibition Featuring Latinx Artists

Urbana, the literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus, will celebrate emerging Latinx artists with an online gallery that runs throughout October.

The exhibition, called In-between Boundaries, features work submitted by students for Urbana’s 13th volume. It includes art pieces, literary works, music compositions submitted by students, and award-winning pieces of the magazine’s podcast, Urbanites

“Latinx is a lot about being on the hyphen between Hispanic and American, so it really speaks to that idea [of being in-between boundaries],” said Urbana’s advisor Emily Sendin.

Students can access the exhibition here

In-between Boundaries is Urbana’s first virtual showcase since the annual exhibitions launched in 2017. The magazine was founded in 2007 and publishes one issue per year.
