Urbana, the literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus, will celebrate emerging Latinx artists with an online gallery that runs throughout October.
The exhibition, called In-between Boundaries, features work submitted by students for Urbana’s 13th volume. It includes art pieces, literary works, music compositions submitted by students, and award-winning pieces of the magazine’s podcast, Urbanites.
“Latinx is a lot about being on the hyphen between Hispanic and American, so it really speaks to that idea [of being in-between boundaries],” said Urbana’s advisor Emily Sendin.

In-between Boundaries is Urbana’s first virtual showcase since the annual exhibitions launched in 2017. The magazine was founded in 2007 and publishes one issue per year.
