Volunteers Sought For North Campus Leadership Event

Miami Dade College is recruiting volunteers to help during the 2016 Destino Leadership Academy Conference on Saturday, Sep. 24 at North Campus. The all-day conference aims to help students become better leaders by refining practical skills.

The deadline to apply by Friday, Sept. 9 and are also asked to attend an orientation on Wednesday September 14, 2016 from 12 to 1 p.m. or Thursday September 15, from 3 to 4 p.m.

Students who volunteer can be runners, greeters, guides, and assistants to help set up and administer the event.

Benefits for volunteers include T-shirts, recognition certificates, networking opportunities, service learning/community service hours, Destino Toastmaster six-month membership and lunch.

Minimum commitment for volunteers for the event is 4 hours. The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, or to sign up please send an email to destino@mdc.edu.
