Traveling<\/em>, Volume 26 of Miambiance, the Kendall Campus\u2019 creative arts magazine, took home the Silver Crown Award for magazines from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association<\/span><\/strong><\/a> at the College Media Association conference held in New York from March 11-14.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Crown Awards honor overall excellence in student publications, including design, photography, concept, coverage and writing. <\/span><\/p>\n

The magazine began publishing 26 years ago and has since won more than \u00a0400 awards. <\/span><\/p>\n

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis from credit and noncredit students. The next deadline is Nov. 30. Students can pick up and drop off submission forms in Room 2217 at Kendall Campus. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is welcome to showcase their talent,\u201d said Rita Fernandez-Sterling, co-advisor for the magazine. \u201cNo matter your background, the only requirements are a love and passion for the arts.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
