{"id":11527,"date":"2017-06-09T18:38:35","date_gmt":"2017-06-09T22:38:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mdcthereporter.com\/?p=11527"},"modified":"2021-02-24T17:12:54","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T22:12:54","slug":"hialeah-campus-awarded-5000-health-literacy-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/hialeah-campus-awarded-5000-health-literacy-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"Hialeah Campus Awarded $5,000 Health Literacy Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On May 10, the School of Continuing Education and Professional Development at Hialeah Campus was awarded a $5,000 grant by the Florida Literacy Coalition in partnership with the Florida Blue Foundation, a nonprofit t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">o help people and communities achieve better health<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The grant awarded the MDC Health Literacy Project for the fifth consecutive year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a fantastic program we look forward to continue implementing at the Hialeah Campus,\u201d said Luis Rodriguez, the program director at the campus\u2019 School of Continuing Education and Professional Development. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project teaches English, within the health context, for speakers of other languages.
