InterAmerican Campus<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u2019 School of Education<\/span> will host the Learn, Love, Grow Conference on Oct. 27 at <\/span>627 S.W. 27 Ave.,<\/span> Room 3103 <\/span>from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. <\/span><\/p>\n

In partnership with <\/span>Fundaci\u00f3n Querer, a nonprofit organization that joins neurological professionals to develop ways to deal with specialized language disorders in children, the conference will host various speakers to <\/span>discuss developmental techniques to combat brain-based language disorders in children.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe work these people are doing [is] changing the trajectory of these children\u2019s lives and giving families hope they did not have in the past,\u201d said School of Education Dean Susan Neimand. \u201cThe match was very clear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Speakers will include professor of psychology from Columbia University<\/span><\/strong><\/a> Dr. Sarah Woolley, associate professor of Clinical Neurology at Mount Sinai Medical School Dr. Steven Wolf and <\/span>associate director of Mt Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center\u2019s Developmental Disability Center\u00a0<\/span>Patricia McGolddrick. <\/span><\/p>\n

Attendance is free, but the conference is prioritizing speech pathologists and school psychologists from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. <\/span><\/p>\n
