As a female, if you were to count the amount of arguments you\u2019ve had with your parents, how many of them were about your clothes? <\/span><\/p>\n

Did they complain that your dress was too short, or your shirt was too tight? <\/span><\/p>\n

Did they take you back to when they were growing up and how they used to wear long dresses, knee highs and the god-forbidden slip?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If we take a look at the past few generations, we\u2019ll notice that the style of dressing has drastically changed. <\/span><\/p>\n

We have gone from long dresses to miniskirts, from slips to tight jeans, from covering ourselves to slowly revealing our skin. <\/span><\/p>\n

What has changed?<\/span><\/p>\n

Women are constantly bombarded with sexual images of other women on a day-to-day a basis. <\/span><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t watch TV or even drive down the street without seeing a half-naked woman portrayed somewhere. <\/span><\/p>\n

Again I ask, what has changed?<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a member of the Nation of Islam and in my culture, we dress in a manner that conceals our adornments. <\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, we don\u2019t wear form fitting clothes. Many people think that this is oppressing because we can\u2019t show ourselves. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is far from the truth and I will tell you why.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine that it\u2019s your best friend\u2019s birthday. <\/span><\/p>\n

You got her a special gift. Do you simply hand it to her and say, \u201cHere, take it,\u201d or do you wrap it up in beautiful wrapping paper and make sure it\u2019s secure? <\/span><\/p>\n

It should be the same with the female body. <\/span><\/p>\n

Your body is precious and not just anyone should be able to see your adornments. <\/span><\/p>\n

The more you see something, the less valuable it becomes to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another example is of the diamond. <\/span><\/p>\n

Diamonds can be worth anywhere between $3,000-$26,000 per carat, according to Diamond Registry<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

When mining for a diamond, it\u2019s not just sitting right on top of the soil for you to have. <\/span><\/p>\n

You have to go deep into the mines and dig it up. <\/span><\/p>\n

Not only that, but after you retrieve it, in order to bring it into its most beautiful form you have to apply pressure and heat. <\/span><\/p>\n

Think of yourself as a diamond. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, teaches that anything of value comes with a difficulty factor. <\/span><\/p>\n

Not just any man should be able to crawl into your sphere, and have the right to touch you. <\/span><\/p>\n

He should treat you like a diamond and have to go to the furthest extents just to get to you. <\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s how special you are. <\/span><\/p>\n

Believe that.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, if you\u2019re showing him all of your \u201cgoodies\u201d upon first contact, then he will do anything to get a piece of your body\u2026not a piece of your mind.<\/span><\/p>\n
