Miami Dade College alumna Maydee Martinez has been selected as a Puffin Fellow by the Andrew Goodman Foundation<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Martinez is one of five graduate students in the nation selected. She began her two-year run as a Puffin Fellow in January. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an honor,\u201d Martinez said. \u201cI am thrilled to continue the work I started at Miami Dade College and work alongside individuals passionate about civic engagement, voting and civil rights.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Martinez graduated with an associates in political science in 2016 from the Honors College at Wolfson Campus<\/span><\/a>. At MDC, she was <\/span>an Andrew Goodman representative<\/span>. She currently attends Georgetown University. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a Puffin Fellow, Martinez wants to create projects that will enhance voter education systems.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
