Carmen will perform her comic one-woman show <em>RUM &amp; COKE<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;It means the world to me to be able to host this event in the Freedom Tower where my grandparents were processed,&#8221; Carmen said. &#8220;It fills me with happiness.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ana Sofia is a blogger at Hungry Sofia, co-owner of La Filosofia, a stylish textile store in New York City based on her grandfather\u2019s department store in Havana. Carmen, a filmmaker and performer, studied film at the American Academy for the Dramatic Arts in New York. In addition to the comic play <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RUM &amp; COKE<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, she has starred in three independent films <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stroll<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houseguest<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last Hand Standing<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Carmen wrote <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RUM &amp;<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">COKE<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the purpose of expressing life&#8217;s challenges through the Cuban experience.
