Michaela Tomova has been appointed as the new Dean of Faculty at North Campus<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tomova, who started on Feb. 19, will be in charge of academic affairs, program advancements, and faculty development. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to improvement in retention and student success and completion,\u201d Tomova said. \u00a0\u201cI want to see students ready for the world. I\u2019d like to see them transition and be valuable not only in the county but in the world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

For the past eight months, Tomova served as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at South Florida State College. Before that, she worked at Miami Dade College in various positions for over 15 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tomova currently holds a doctorate in leadership and higher education from the University of Miami in 2016, and earned her master\u2019s degree in English language and literature from the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski<\/span><\/a> in 1986.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
