School for Advanced Studies senior Maria Bravo is one of 10 POSSE scholars in the country selected to attend Franklin & Marshall College on a full-tuition scholarship. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bravo, 18, will pursue a pre-med pathway at the university this upcoming fall. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the Posse scholarship, the faraway dream of medical school and the desire\u00a0<\/span>to pursue a career in the medical field is now within reach,\u201d Bravo said. \u201cThousands of doors leading to \u2018once in a lifetime opportunities\u2019 have opened up for me, and I am forever grateful for that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Bravo was selected through the Dynamic Assessment Process to identify ambitious, talented students beyond their grades and test scores. <\/span><\/p>\n

In order to be eligible for a POSSE scholarship, high school students must be in the first semester of their senior year, demonstrate leadership through their extra-curricular activities and apply by the Miami region deadline in August. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students must be nominated by their high school or community-based organization at www.possefoundation.org\/nominator-login. <\/span><\/p>\n
