Applications for the Board of Trustees Award, a $5,000 prize, are currently available. Students who are eligible will receive an email invitation to apply from the dean of student services at their respective campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eight students\u2014one from each Miami Dade College campus\u2014are selected to receive the scholarship. Winners will be notified of their status at the MDC Commencement Ceremony<\/span><\/a> on May 4. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligible students must hold a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need, graduate this semester with an associate in arts degree and plan to receive a bachelor\u2019s degree at an accredited university. <\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants are required to submit a r<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>sum<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>, letter of recommendation and a short-response essay. <\/span><\/p>\n

The District Board of Trustees<\/span><\/a>, who distributes the award every semester, is the governing body at Miami Dade College that oversee campus operations. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
