The debate goes on whether abortion should be legal or illegal in the United States, leaving many Americans to decide whether they are pro-choice or pro-life.<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe women should have the right to choose. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Abortion is not something that should be taken lightly and done carelessly, but it is an option that should be available. <\/span><\/p>\n

There are certain situations where bringing a baby into the world is not what’s best for the child. <\/span><\/p>\n

Some women feel as though their lifestyle is not stable enough for a child and are not prepared to support it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some women may possess medical conditions that can cause the unborn child to be born with disabilities. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website: s<\/span>ome conditions that increase the risk of having a child with birth defects include \u201cbeing obese or having uncontrolled diabetes before and during pregnancy.\u201d The CDC goes on to say that \u201cevery 4 \u00bd minutes, a baby is born with a birth defect in the United States.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

By realizing your medical conditions and learning about the problems it could cause to the unborn child one might feel it is better to go through with an abortion to prevent the child from living a difficult lifestyle. <\/span><\/p>\n

Several states are banning insurance companies from covering the cost of abortions. <\/span><\/p>\n

You would think with the new movement of health reform, we would be more open to covering all things medical related.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a contradiction to make abortion legal, but make it so difficult to get a proper operation done. <\/span><\/p>\n

Allowing abortion to be covered under insurance plans is a decision that should be left up to the individual companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of these companies, I believe would offer packages to include abortion plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

In some cases there are medical issues that can be genetically passed down to the baby and make them sick for their whole lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Congress not allowing insurance plans to include abortion is absurd. <\/span><\/p>\n

Guttmacher.com<\/span><\/a> states that under the law, states will have the right to specify if insurance companies can cover abortion coverage or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

Louisiana and Tennessee prohibit abortion coverage under any circumstances, even if it is due to rape, incest or the woman’s life is in danger. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether or not you are against abortion, there are still women who will seek a way to have the procedure done. <\/span><\/p>\n

Making it safe should be a larger concern, instead of continually trying to force it to be illegal. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
