The IIE will present the awards at a ceremony in New York City March 20 as part of its annual Best Practices in Internalization Conference for campus professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Diasporic Knowledge Remittance Study Abroad Program provides non-traditional students the opportunity to study health sciences abroad and reconnect with their countries of heritage in the Caribbean and Latin America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study abroad programs in the health sciences include physician assistant, nursing, dental hygiene, as well as vision care in Haiti, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miami Dade College has made great strides to remove international barriers and broaden the participation in study abroad learning for its students.
