Hoffman has been selected as the new dean of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdc.edu\/honorscollege\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The Honors College at Miami Dade College<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoffman began overseeing the College\u2019s four HC divisions\u2014housed at Wolfson, North, Eduardo J. Padr\u00f3n and Kendall Campus\u2014on March 23.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI look forward to working with everyone at MDC, and the broader community to continue The Honors College tradition of excellence and accomplishment,\u201d Hoffman said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before MDC, Hoffman served as the founding director of Flagler College\u2019s Honors Program in St. Augustine, Florida for three years.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has also taught communication courses at several colleges and universities such as Washington State University, Barry University and Lynn University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After graduating with an associate\u2019s degree from Palm Beach State College, Hoffman received a bachelor\u2019s degree in business communication, a master\u2019s degree in marketing communication and information technology and a doctorate in mass communication\u2014all from Florida State University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eric W.
