The Miami Book Fair will stream the 2020 Little Haiti Book Festival<\/a><\/span> every Sunday at 2 p.m until June 28.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting May 31, MBF began live streaming the festival on their Facebook page and <\/span>Crowdcast<\/span><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival features a wide range of Haitian artists celebrating Haitian culture in the United States. There will be musical performances, as well as discussions with authors, health experts that will discuss how Haitian\u2019s have been impacted by the pandemic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Taptap KRIK? KRAK!, the festival\u2019s counterpart for children, will offer interactive activities for children every other Saturday at 2 p.m. until July 25 like storytime readings and demonstrations from chefs on how to prepare Haitian cuisine. The next showing will take place on June 27.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHaitian Children [can] see themselves reflected in literary activities and discover entertainers and stories that are about their family\u2019s culture,\u201d said MBF director of programs Lissette Mendez.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The program is presented in partnership with Sosyete Koukouy, a local non-profit that aims to preserve Haitian culture. The festival has been offered since 1995<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
