{"id":20325,"date":"2020-06-29T19:00:49","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T23:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mdcthereporter.com\/?p=20325"},"modified":"2020-08-04T13:14:28","modified_gmt":"2020-08-04T17:14:28","slug":"miami-dade-college-online-selects-new-campus-vice-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/miami-dade-college-online-selects-new-campus-vice-president\/","title":{"rendered":"MDC Online Selects New Campus Vice President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Walter McCollum has been appointed Campus Vice President of Miami Dade College Online.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">McCollum\u2014who started on June 22\u2014will manage <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mdc.edu\/online\/\">MDC Online<\/a><\/span>\u2019s daily operations and students, as well as report to Wolfson Campus President Beatriz Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI am honored to accept this appointment to lead and expand Miami Dade College\u2019s online presence, to provide a diverse way of learning to students, to afford opportunities to develop skills and competencies that can be applied in the workplace and equip students to be competitive among their peers,\u201d McCollum said.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Prior to MDC, McCollum spent 14 years at Walden University, where he most recently served as dean of student affairs for nearly four years.
