Caf\u00e9 Bustelo is hosting a nationwide scholarship contest for college students called El Caf\u00e9 Del Futuro.<\/p>\n
To qualify, students need to be 18 years of age or older and of Latino descent, currently enrolled full-time at a college or university, and a permanent legal resident of the United States.<\/p>\n
Eligible students can apply for a chance to win one of nine $5,000 college scholarships.<\/p>\n
The deadline is Jan. 15.<\/p>\n
To enter, students must write an essay\u2014of 800 words or less\u2014in English or Spanish discussing the following topic: Describe how your Latino heritage, family, and the community in which you grew up have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.<\/p>\n
