Fashion trends from the past always come back in style. We\u2019ve seen it with fashion from the 1970s and 1990s return<\/span>\u2014<\/span>now it’s the 2000\u2019s turn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trends from the 2000s have always been seen by the public as \u2018tacky\u2019 and \u2018trashy,\u2019 but thanks to apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, that style is back with a twist known as Y2K.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Y2K was synonymous with the change of the century, marked by futuristic style, technology, and metallic greys. Now, it’s a generalized term that refers to fashion trends from the 2000s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is a list of five fashion fads that are back in style:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Juicy Couture Tracksuits <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"Juicy Couture was founded in 1997 by Pamela Skaist-Lev<\/span>y and Gela Nash-Taylor.<\/p>\n

After creating a custom-made velour tracksuit for singer Mad<\/span>onna in 2001, it quickly became one of the biggest fashion trends of the 2000s. The outfit was worn by celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.<\/p>\n

That trend came back recently, as <\/span>Juicy Couture<\/a><\/strong><\/span> released a brand new line of velour tracksuits and celebrities such a<\/span>s Kylie Jenner wore it on an Instagram post<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second-hand velour tracksuits can also be found on <\/span>eBay<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and <\/span>Depop<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, two of the best sites for buying second-hand clothing.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mini Skirts<\/b><\/p>\n

As Paris Hilton once said, \u201cmini skirts should be the size of a belt.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They were very popular in the 2000s and were worn by singers Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All types of mini skirts<\/span>\u2014denim, pleated, ruffled\u2014were paired with smaller shirts (such as tube tops or cami tanks with lace), feeding into the club scene of the decade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, its popularity has risen thanks to singers Ariana Grande and Madison Beer, who are constantly seen on Instagram and Tiktok wearing them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stores that are well known in the teenage fashion community\u2014like<\/span> Princess Polly<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>,<\/span> Forever 21<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>, and<\/span> PrettyLittleThing<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u2014carry them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Low-Rise Jeans<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"For years, people have dreaded the return of low-rise jeans. This is due to the heightened popularity of the high-rise mom jeans in the 2010s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now they\u2019ve returned<\/span>, <\/span>thanks to models like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, whose pictures wearing them are popular on Pinterest boards.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 2000s, low-rise jeans came in different styles, such as bedazzled, painted on, bootcut, straight, ripped, or even without pockets. They were sold by companies such as Baby Phat, Apple Bottom Jeans, and True Religion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Beyonce wore them to red carpet events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nowaday, low-rise jeans have a much simpler, straight-legged design. Regardless, it still has that Y2K charm to it. Stores like <\/span>Lucky Brand<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> carry a modernized version of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Baby Tees<\/b><\/p>\n

Baby Tees are commonly known as cropped, tight-fitting T-shirts that have either a graphic, logo, or saying. They are named as such because of their size<\/span>\u2014they are usually made for little girls.<\/span><\/p>\n

These tees were seen in films such as <\/span>The Hot Chick<\/span><\/i> (2002), which features April (played by Anna Faris) rocking a colorful, striped shirt with a picture of Bubbles from <\/span>The Powerpuff Girls<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>Mean Girls<\/span><\/i> (2004), which features Gretchen Wieners (played by Lacey Chabert) wearing a red Royal Punk tee in a scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, after being popularized by tiktokers like Charli D\u2019Amelio and Camille Roth, baby tees are back in style.<\/span><\/p>\n

Baby tees are sold by companies such as<\/span> Brandy Melville<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a>,<\/span> iGirl<\/span><\/strong>,<\/span><\/a> and<\/span> UNIF<\/strong><\/span>,<\/span><\/a> whose shirts are heavily influenced by designs from the 2000s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shoulder Bags<\/b><\/p>\n

Though they seem small, shoulder bags surprisingly fit various items, such as a cell phone and wallet.<\/span><\/p>\n
