Urbana<\/span><\/i>, the literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padr\u00f3n Campus, will celebrate emerging Latinx artists with an online gallery that runs throughout October.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition, called <\/span>In-between Boundaries<\/span><\/i>, features work submitted by students for <\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i>\u2019s 13th volume. It includes art pieces, literary works, music compositions submitted by students, and award-winning pieces of the magazine\u2019s podcast, <\/span>Urbanites<\/i><\/span><\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLatinx is a lot about being on the hyphen between Hispanic and American, so it really speaks to that idea [of being in-between boundaries],\u201d said <\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i>\u2019s advisor Emily Sendin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students can access the exhibition <\/span>here<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In-between Boundaries<\/span><\/i> is <\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i>\u2019s first virtual showcase since the annual exhibitions launched in 2017. The magazine was founded in 2007 and publishes one issue per year. <\/span><\/p>\n
