The Garcia Family Scholarship is accepting applications through Dec. 11<\/span><\/p>\n

The scholarship\u2014a $1,000 prize\u2014is available to students who are enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program. However, there is a preference for females who are part of a minority group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students must complete an application, have at least a 2.5 GPA and submit a 250-word essay describing how the scholarship will further the applicant\u2019s academic and career aspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n
