It\u2019s no surprise that the Miami Selfie Museum has become the new craze for Gen-Z and Instagram enthusiasts alike because the venue\u2019s colorful backdrops pop out in any picture.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Miami Selfie Museum<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, located in Wynwood at 179 N.W. 25th Street, serves as a photography studio with a multitude of trendy art installations\u2014created by local artists\u2014and professional studio lights to capture the perfect picture (or selfie) for any social media site.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cNo more hunting around for the best Wynwood Instagram walls because we\u2019ve put them all under one roof,\u201d proclaims the museum\u2019s own website.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Known as Florida\u2019s first selfie museum, the 3,000-square-foot space currently features more than 25 installations, murals, local art and creative backdrops. You will find everything from yellow gumball machines, a Wynwood-esque graffiti-style smiley face wall, a yellow bathtub complete with a rubber duck, a wall full of donuts and a pink telephone calling station.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the museum is permanent, its installations constantly change to keep the vibe fresh during every visit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The museum opened its doors on July 7 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. A mask must be worn on the premises, guests must stay 6-feet apart, hand sanitizer is offered at the entrance and tickets are for hourly reservations only to limit the amount of guests.<\/span><\/p>\n

New York City, Los Angeles, Denver and Seattle have opened similar museums.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Miami Selfie Museum is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission for adults is $29 during the week and $34 on the weekend. Admission is free for children 4 and younger and $22 for ages 5 to 12. Students can get a 10% discount with a valid ID. Tickets should be purchased <\/span>online<\/span><\/a><\/span> because in-person purchases are subject to availability.<\/span><\/p>\n
